Axcelis Announces Appointment of Roland Hsu as Manager of Taiwan

HSINCHU, Aug. 9, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Axcelis Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACLS), a leading supplier of enabling ion implantation solutions for the semiconductor industry, today announced the appointment of Roland Hsu as Manager of Taiwan. In this role, Roland will be responsible for overseeing the Company's Global Customer Operations function in the Taiwan region.

Roland has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry as a leading market researcher and in senior management and technical roles. Most recently he held the position of Director, Semiconductor/Hardware Technology Analyst at Trivest Advisors. Prior to this he was the Head of Taiwan Research and Taiwan Regional Sector Head, Semiconductors Director for Citi Global Market Treasury and Security. In addition, he was Vice President, Semiconductor Analyst with JP Morgan, and Technology Analyst Director with Voyager Research. Roland started his career in Applied Materials Taiwan as a CMP Process Engineer and then served in Technical Marketing Manager and Account Manager roles. In addition, he held numerous sales management roles at Thermalwave Taiwan and a start-up company. Roland holds a Master's degree in Material Science and Engineering from Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.
