Bermudez has been involved in commercial real estate finance for over 20 years, beginning his career at North Fork Bank in 2003. Thereafter, he served as Group Director and Senior Vice President in charge of all CRE operations and risk for the Commercial Real Estate Lending Group at Signature Bank, which he joined in 2007. He was promoted through the ranks of underwriting, origination, and relationship management to acting department deputy, assisting in the maintenance of a $33+ billion CRE loan portfolio. Since leaving Signature in 2023, Bermudez served as Managing Director of A&E Real Estate Finance, a boutique private credit platform.

A graduate of SUNY Empire State College in New York, Zachary holds a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Dowling College and is an active board member for The Real Estate Institute at Stony Brook University.
