MUFG forms an alliance with Peachtree Corners and Curiosity Lab

The alliance strengthens an international innovation pipeline through smart city
collaboration and real-world technology deployment.

NEW YORK, July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), one of the 10 largest global financial groups, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Curiosity Lab. The alliance will focus on exploring and advancing smart city systems through research, development, demonstration and deployment of next generation use cases from all over the world.

The agreement formalizes a relationship between Peachtree Corners, Curiosity Lab and MUFG. It establishes a collaborative framework to support innovative solutions in transportation and smart city technology while fueling economic development in Peachtree Corners.

MUFG is the first Japanese partner for Curiosity Lab. It believes the collaboration will further enhance MUFG's presence in the Southeastern U.S. while also promoting the business development of Japanese companies.  

MUFG's global reach and regional office in Atlanta will help connect clients with real-world testing and smart infrastructure access, enhancing Curiosity Lab's role as a launch pad for U.S. and international innovation.
